Montague Glass(Marsden) was born in 1877 – died in 1934.  Montague Glass playwright. The English‐born dramatist and short story writer was brought to America while very young and began his career by contributing to various magazines. All his successful plays were collaborations, and many of them were based on his stories about a pair of comic Jewish business partners: Potash and Perlmutter (1913), written with Charles Klein; Abe and Mawruss (1915), written with Roi Cooper Megrue; and four with Jules Eckert Goodman: Business before Pleasure (1917), His Honor Abe Potash (1919), Partners Again (1922), and Potash and Perlmutter, Detectives (1926). Although several of his other plays received favorable notices, they had short runs.
